(As in Get Shorty, not Be Cool.)
The 1 Second Film is a collaborative art project that gives you the chance to be listed in the credits as an Executive Producer, Producer, or Associate Producer. It’s a really interesting film project, and I hope it does well.
When it’s finished, the 70mm film will be exactly 1 second – that’s 24 frames – long. The remaining 90 minutes will be credits and a documentary about making the 1 Second Film. All profits from the film will be donated to The Global Fund for Women.
If you want to be included, just donate to the project. Be an Executive Producer for a donation of $100 and up, a Producer for $10 to $99.99, or an Associate Producer for $1 to $9.99. Your name will appear in the credits of the film, along with the Celebrity Producers who have donated to the project. (Really, I know times are hard, but Pauly Shore and Woody Harrelson, can’t you kick in more than $1.00?)
I just donated $15.35. You may now address me as “Producer.” Damnit, where’s my assistant! Where’s my latte!! Would it kill you to get it to me when it’s still hot?!?
Check out how 1 Second Film director Nirvan Mullick convinced Kiefer Sutherland to donate to the project. (Although it’s probably a good thing Nirvan got to him early in the night. He might have had to go tree-diving to get a donation.)
